Basic Application Scope: The technical requirements and testing methods of the Paper Smoothness Tester (Mercury-Free) (hereinafter referred to as the Smoothness Tester) comply with the international standard ISO5627 "Paper and Board—Determination of Smoothness (Bekk Method)" and the requirements and regulations of standards such as QB/T1665 "Paper and Board Smoothness Tester." It is an essential instrument for testing various high-smoothness papers and is widely used in paper manufacturing enterprises, packaging companies, quality inspection institutions, and other units.

This smoothness tester is used for testing high-smoothness paper and board and should not be used for testing materials with a thickness exceeding 0.5 mm or paper or board with high air permeability, as the amount of air passing through the sample may lead to inaccurate results.

Product Features: The instrument uses a high-precision vacuum sensor to measure the vacuum level of the vacuum container, replacing the mercury manometer, making it a mercury-free smoothness tester. It employs an imported vacuum pump to evacuate the vacuum container, achieving the required vacuum level in a very short time under the control of a single-chip microcomputer. It also features powerful data processing capabilities: it can measure and automatically store the smoothness value of a single sample, as well as statistically analyze experimental data from multiple samples in the same group, including maximum value, minimum value, average value, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation. These data are stored in the data memory and can be displayed on a digital tube. Additionally, the instrument has printing functionality.
